FAQs

  • My style incorporates the following modalities: ACT, CBT, CRAFT, DBT, Harm Reduction, MI, Mindfulness, and Relapse Prevention. I also include a framework of wellness and cultural humility to provide holistic care.

I have completed trainings for Mindfulness Based CBT, DBT, I-CBT, and Narrative Trauma Therapy.

I know there can be a sense of overwhelm with therapy lingo so if you have any further questions I am happy to answer further when we talk.

  • Yes! I offer free 15-25 minute phone call where we discuss more of what you are seeking in therapy, any questions you may have, and if we both feel like a good fit. Click “Let’s Talk” to get in contact with me to schedule a call.

  • While my specialty is in substance use, you are not required to experience addiction in order to work together. Maybe substance use has nothing to do with why you are coming to therapy. Or maybe you are wanting to be more mindful with your use or have a loved one who has an addiction. My clinical support is on the spectrum from mindfulness, harm reduction, sober curious, early sobriety, to long term recovery.

  • Currently I am in network with Aetna, and Optum (UHC, Oscar, Oxford).

  • We can explore using your out of network benefits. I partner with Thrizer, which helps make the out-of-network reimbursement process as seamless as possible. Thrizer submits claims on your behalf so you can easily use your out-of-network benefits without handling paperwork or waiting for superbills to process. I am happy to run your insurance through Thrizer’s benefits calculator during our consultation call.

  • Cost for sessions out of pocket are $175 for the intake and assessment. All subsequent sessions are $150.

  • I do not provide ESA letters to my clients as I do not have the training to provide said service. Sometimes your PCP or other doctor can provide this for you. I also am happy to refer you to another clinician in the area who does specialize in the ESA letter process.

  • Instead of sliding scale, I offer a Pay as You Can Plan. I have a fixed amount of slots on my case load for folks needing this plan. The PAYC plan allows you to choose what you can pay/session based on your budget and financial need rather than me set a price range based on income. At this time my PAYC slots are filled.
